Join us for a long weekend in Longyearbyen to photograph Svalbard’s stunning nature and wildlife. This will be an experience you won’t soon forget. We will focus on white Arctic foxes and rock ptarmigans, as well as Svalbard reindeer, all set against the breathtaking Arctic winter landscape.
In March and April, it’s still full winter in Svalbard, but the days are long and bright. If the skies are clear, you’ll get the warm Arctic light in the mornings and evenings. In the evening or at night, there’s also a chance to see the Northern Lights, weather permitting. On this trip, we’ll take you on a snowmobile adventure into the wilderness to search for beautiful landscapes, reindeer, foxes, and ptarmigans. If we’re lucky, we might even encounter the king of the Arctic, the polar bear.
At this time of year, the Arctic foxes are completely white with fluffy winter fur. Riding a snowmobile through this incredible landscape is a truly unique experience that must be experienced firsthand.
We’ll also drive around the roads near Longyearbyen. On these trips, there’s a good chance of spotting some of the local Arctic foxes. Ptarmigans and reindeer are also possible sightings. If the little auks have arrived at their breeding grounds, we might see them too. Otherwise, the nature around Longyearbyen is stunning, and we’ll also have opportunities for landscape photography.
